We work with architects, developers and builders to provide structural designs that are safe, code compliant and economical. Our design focus is conventional light-framed wood construction, with the ability to incorporate steel, concrete and aluminum elements when necessary. Job Opportunity: Entry-Level Structural Engineer

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an entry-level engineer with 0-2 years of experience to join our team at our downtown Salem office. Initially, this position will involve closely collaborating with the team to understand project requirements, assisting in the development of framing and lateral designs, and contributing to the creation of detailed drawings and specifications. The expectation is that you will gradually gain autonomy and responsibility, with the goal of obtaining a PE license and independently managing projects from inception to completion. We are committed to fostering your growth and providing you with the necessary support and guidance to succeed as an engineer.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, along with a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires clear articulation of technical concepts and effective collaboration with team members and a wide variety of clients. Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred, and familiarity with wood, concrete, and masonry design concepts is a plus.
